During the summer of 2008 JMT Builders performed a comprehensive remodeling project on our 100+ yr old Red Bank home that was badly in need of repair and upgrading. All aspects of building were within the scope of this project including roof, siding, windows, furnace, retrofit for central air, electrical, plumbing and major interior renovations including kitchen and bath updates (cabinets, tile, built-ins, etc.), installation of gas fireplaces and sound and security systems. Before selecting JMT Builders as our partner in this project one of the key recommendations that was communicated to us was that JMT Builders never leave an unhappy customer. From the first day of working with them through today we found this to ring true. They were available whenever we called, kept a clean and safe worksite and kept to their pricing estimate and timeline. Every one of their sub-contractors held the same work ethic. Going into the project we heard nothing but horror stories from folks who had work done on their homes by other contractors. We can tell you that there definitely is one great one out there who is experienced, reliable, honest and will genuinely have your best interest in mind. Joe, Mark and all their partners treated us and our home with respect and recognized how important this financial commitment was to us. My wife and I have entrusted Joe and his company with our home on three different occasions for major home remodeling jobs and additions. The results have been nothing less than spectacular. I never had to be concerned about what we were going to get as a result. We were originally referred to JMT Builders by friends of ours who were extremely happy with the work JMT did on their home. After meeting with Joe, we decided to hire JMT Builders to build an extensive addition on our home, which consisted of creating a new front entrance and foyer, expanding our kitchen, expanding an existing bedroom and adding a master bedroom suite as well as new heating and air conditioning zone for the upstairs. At the time we hired JMT, we were expecting our second child and were very concerned about the job being completed on time. Joe and Mark assured us that the job could be done before the baby was born. Prior to starting work, Joe and Mark met with us to prepare us for the various stages of the job, what to expect and when to expect it. They began the work exactly when they told us they would, and worked 5-6 days per week until the job was done. Joe and/or Mark were at our home every day and were always accessible by phone when we needed them. They worked with the many subcontractors to make sure the work was getting done on time and that one job transitioned smoothly to another and they worked with Rumson's building department to make sure all inspections were done according to schedule. Every time we made last minute changes to the plans (adding a window, hardwood floors, running new electrical wires), Joe and Mark took care of it as if it was planned all along. Our addition was finished on time, within budget and most importantly, before our son was born. For the next several months after their work was done, Joe continued to check with us periodically to make sure we were happy with the work, which we are. We highly recommend JMT Builders.
